A charming Meissen porcelain figure of a young servant girl serving holding a tray with trembleuse cup filled with hot chocolate. The modeller Paul Helmig at the Meissen manufacture created the Chocolate girl around 1901 and is based on a famous painting by the Swiss painter Etienne Liotard. The painting now hangs in the Gemaelde Gallerie Alte Meister in Dresden. Meissen crossed swords to base, Meissen c. 1901.
