The Meissen porcelain place is decorated to centre with a scene of Amor being defeated by a young lady, gilded scroll work around cartouches, beautifully pierced lattice work to rim of plate with highlighted gilding, the reverse to plate entitled “Der besiegte Amor” (Amor conquered) after a painting by Boucher
